Former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang’s third party will be called “The Forward Party,” he reportedly wrote in his next book.
Yang, who has gained ground as more than an entrepreneur by outlasting some of the most established presidential candidates in the 2020 primary, reveals the name of his new political party at the end of his book, Forward: Notes on the Future of Our Democracy, according to Inside the business community.

Yang’s book denounces the “duopoly” of the US political framework that pits Democrats and Republicans against each other in every election, arguing that the system was not designed to handle the “cascade of crises” that states- States have recently suffered.
The Forward Party would defend “choice voting and open primaries,” as well as “evidence-based governance” and “human-centered capitalism,” Yang’s book reads. The party will also be promoting the “universal basic income” or UBI – an idea that drew many of its supporters during the 2020 primary.
After Yang dropped out of the presidential race in February last year, he set himself a goal of running for mayor of New York. However, he eventually gave up after failing to garner support, placing fourth in the crowded primary.

Yang’s book will be released on October 5, according to his publisher Penguin Random House.
