[UPDATED 7/22] LoL streamer Hashinshin banned on Twitch amid allegations of underage grooming
League of Legends personality and streamer Robert “Hashinshin” Brotz has been accused on several occasions by several people of treating minors. The allegations have been coming in since mid-July and have now prompted responses from more alleged victims of Hashishin’s behavior, as well as promising figures in the League of Legends scene.
According to the allegations, Hashinshin approached several minors, women who were not older than 17, while Hashinshin himself was of legal age.
Initial allegations and response: July 12
The first allegations against Hashinshin surfaced on July 12. Twitter user Dye posted a collection of videos from Hashinshin’s chat logs to several underage girls, many of whom were only 14 years old. One of Hashinshin’s ex-girlfriends, Alli, also posted chat logs detailing their relationship between her as a minor at the time and Hashinshin as an adult.
“I am not a pedo but I … did things adjacent to the pedo maybe,” Hashinshin has been seen to have written in some of these discussion logs.
In response, Hashinshin published a 40-page document, not only addressing the allegations, but talking about his poor mental health, having suicidal thoughts and saying he had been the victim of a toxic relationship. It would also be the first time Hashinshin has also mentioned the carbon monoxide leak in his apartment, admitting it may have caused mental damage.
“I am completely innocent. I did nothing wrong. I am not a fucking pedophile. These accusations are false and cause real damage by taking away the credibility of the real victims, who are many in this community,” he said. opened Hashinshin and reiterated his innocence several times throughout the document.
What Hashinshin claimed is that the chat logs for Dye’s videos are tampered with and these exchanges never took place. The streamer further accused Alli, and another minor he allegedly treated, Karina, of blackmail by posting chat logs showing Karina asking for $ 1,000 not to publicly corroborate Alli’s story.
“Alli mentally assaulted me for months throughout our relationship and left me in a very vulnerable state. She extorted $ 1,000 from me after we broke up, as well as another $ 2,000 for me,” Hashinshin wrote, adding:
“Two girls then conspired together against me in my vulnerable state to export me $ 500, then $ 1,000. They tried to extort an additional $ 1,000 from me.”
At no point did Hashinshin address the alleged age difference between him and Alli and the latter being a minor while they were in a relationship.
Dye’s second video and second wave of allegations: July 16
In a follow-up video, Dye responded to Hashinshin’s response and raised the allegations of two other more recent victims: Sarah (15) and Vicky (16). In an accompanying document, Dye will later also add two other allegations: de Caltyss (15 years old), and Vicki (17 years old).
The video shows audio and video logs of Hashinshin sending nude photos and videos of him masturbating to a user named Kiy, who at the time claimed to be an underage girl, in an attempt to cat fish Hashinshin. Video / audio logs also show Kiy openly telling Hashinshin that she (or rather the character Kiy portrays) is a minor.
Colorant also provided audio logs between Hashinshin and Kiy, more than 5 minutes. In these, Hashinshin compliments Kiy for having “great hair, great breasts, great ass.”
The same video also contains the stories of the aforementioned Vicky, who Hashinshin met in 2018 when she was 16 (his statement available here); and Sarah, whom Hashinshin met in June 2020.
In Vicky’s chat logs, Hashinshin receives a nude photo, which he later asks to be deleted. A year later, when Vicky was 17, Hashinshin reportedly made further advances, offering to come visit her so that “you can take my cock”. Hashinshin will later claim that this conversation took place in 2020, when Vicky was 18, i.e. an adult. The screenshots themselves don’t make it clear what year these conversations take place.
A collection of 50 screenshots detail Hashinshin and Vicky’s communication, including more recent newspapers after the allegations against Hashinshin surfaced.
“[sic] sorry but you admitted some things i can’t tolerate in someone who knows me and my fucking nudes … “Vicky wrote in one of the chat logs. In another chat log, Hashinshin written [sic]:
“I sent inappropriate comments to underage girls some time ago, that’s all”
In Sarah’s case, Hashinshin is making inappropriate comments. While Hashinshin doesn’t explicitly ask for nude photos of Sarah, saying “it’s not like I’m asking for sex photos or anything,” he drops comments like “I won’t make you feel like shit. Fuck […] until you go out with me apparently “.
Hashinshin deleted and updated response: July 17-18
July 17, Hashinshin set up the first of his two responses new allegations. This first statement, since deleted, is titled “I’m sorry” and begins with Hashinshin admitting to attempting suicide, stating that he “swallowed like 500g of melatonin and a six pack and hoped the combination would knock me out and let God decide but instead I’m here. “
The same document contains for the most part confused, rambling or contradictory statements and responses to the new allegations.
“I’m not trying to admit my guilt… or I am. I do not know. I can’t refute it anyway. Does that mean I did it, I guess? Really ? I do not know.
Hashinshin then denies Vicky’s claims, but at the same time admits another case [the name is not explicitly mentioned in the text — Ed.] may be true:
“This Vicki story is such shit, I healed her in a day? We didn’t all know that. This girl though, this story seems plausible. I can’t disprove it. At least I don’t think so. I can now anyway. Man, that makes me really hate myself. “
Hashinshin also adds:
“I’m sorry for everyone I hurt. I said this man. I posted tweets and my video BEFORE IT HAPPENED, asking people to come see me to apologize. I know man, I I’m not perfect, I tried to make up for it. No one is innocent. “
On the same day, Hashinshin uploaded a 45-minute video, giving a more consistent response to all of the allegations.
The streamer opened up by supporting his belief that the screenshots provided by the alleged victims were falsified and fake, that it is “extremely difficult to say that something did NOT happen”, and reiterated that he thought he had been falsely labeled as a pedophile.
In the video, Hashinshin talks at length about Kiy’s personality and provides chat logs between Kiy and a friend of Hashinshin’s, which show repeated abusive behavior on Kiy’s part. “Kiy is a notorious video troll catfish,” Hashinshin says.
Hashinshin also claims that the video logs provided in Dye’s second video are edited and that there is no evidence that his verbal response matches the text Kyi wrote, describing an underage girl.
Regarding Sarah, Hashinshin claims he had no knowledge of her age (and in fact, the chat logs are not showing either Sarah explicitly admits this). As for Vicky, Hashinshin points out that the chat logs do not explicitly show him asking for a nude photo (which he does) and that he can “very easily prove” that his sexual advances and comments from follow-up to Vicky took place when she was 18 and not 17.
As part of her evidence, Hashinshin shows a video recording of a chat log beginning February 13, 2020, when Vicky is said to have already turned 18. However, said chat log clearly picks up where an old conversation left off, with Hashinshin writing “Message me here not twitter” and Vicky replying “I fell asleep yesterday”. As mentioned in this report, the chat logs with Hashinshin’s more explicit sexual advances do not have a full timestamp and do not include the year.
July 18, Hashinshin released an updated statement, confirming that he attempted suicide. Moreover, while he said that “what you saw me do and say is true, for the most part at least in this story” and that he did send “a set of extremely damaging, rude and frightening, “Hashinshin objected to terminology used by his victims, stressing that” grooming is a federal crime “
Maya case (aka Caltyss): July 17
While the cases of Vicky and Sarah are difficult to assess in their entirety due to missing key dates and incomplete screenshots from the chat log, the case of a Maya, aka Caltyss, stands out. Caltyss made his statement shortly after Hashinshin’s video response (embedded above), and so was not addressed in it.
“We first started talking in 2017, two months after I turned 15. I don’t wish to be known for being treated by a popular streamer, and I wasn’t planning on making a statement,” Caltyss writes in his statement.
In the document, Caltyss provides numerous screenshots of conversations with Hashinshin, where it becomes clear that Hashinshin knows Caltyss’s age, 16 at the time. Knowing his age, Hashinshin then makes multiple inappropriate and sexually charged remarks.
LoL community condemns Hashinshin
Following the allegations, several prominent League of Legends figures came to the victims’ defense, speaking out against Hashinshin. Streamer and personality Joedat “Voyboy” Esfahani called Hashinshin “manipulative, predatory and worse than any pedophile who has used his platform to abuse so many underage girls over the years,” urging people to “keep these monsters. far from our children “.
Voyboy also posted a video blog in addition to his tweets.
July 22, Hashinshin replied to Voyboy’s vlog, claiming that he is spreading disinformation. While Hashinshin hasn’t gone into Maya’s case in detail, he reiterates that this could very well be true and that he cannot disprove it (as mentioned in his now-deleted TwitLonger, see above), while also reiterating that he has very little memory of the years between 2010 and 2018 due to a carbon monoxide leak in his apartment, as first mentioned in the response to the original allegations.
The story is developing and Inven Global is seeking feedback from affected parties.
UPDATE 7/22: Dye confirmed to Inven Global that the screenshots between Hashinshin and Vicky dated “July” are in fact from July 2020, when Vicky was already 18 years old. Inven Global continues to investigate the remaining cases of chat log screenshots and contact victims.
UPDATE 7/22: Twitch banned Hashinshin streaming on its platform.
