Sheikh Abdullah meets British political delegates in UAE

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met a delegation of five British politicians from the United Arab Emirates All-Party Group in the British Parliament.

When meeting at Expo 2020 Dubai on Wednesday, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen the strong ties between the Emirates and Britain.

He also reviewed the success of Expo 2020 Dubai and the role of parliaments in supporting peoples’ aspirations for prosperity and development.

Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the visit of the delegation and underlined the deep and historical relations between the two countries.

He said the UAE’s hosting of Expo 2020 Dubai embodies the country’s approach to spreading the values ​​of tolerance and coexistence among the peoples of the world.

The tour began on Sunday and is led by David Jones, Member of the British Parliament.

“The UAE is an important international partner of the UK,” he said.

“We share a long historical relationship and are now major investors in each other’s countries. Dubai has the largest British population of any city outside the UK.

It follows Prince William’s visit to the Emirates last week.
