Most political parties opt for virtual connection with workers | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Social distancing – a mandatory protocol in the days of Covid – has prompted political parties to go a virtual route to stay in touch with workers across the state.
Since political parties are actively involved in helping people in distress, coordination between their grassroots workers becomes essential. It should be about getting information quickly to the target group so that help can be delivered on time and in the right place.
Digital media, in this case, have been helpful for political leaders to maintain a constant conversation with the workforce. BJP leaders began to organize virtual meetings with workers across the state through video conferencing. The party, which has a strong structure of officials and workers, connects daily to discuss its day-to-day activities.
“It is the work of Seva Sangathan that is actively continuing at the moment. But, in the midst of it all, we don’t forget to tell our workers that it is their own safety that is of the utmost importance. Thus, we urge them to follow the precautions as thoroughly as possible, ”said a party official. From senior party officials to party presidents at regional, district and mandal levels, all are attending virtual meetings these days.
In the Nishad Party, workers have been urged to stay in touch with people in their area through WhatsApp groups and other social media platforms.
Party chairman Sanjay Nishad runs live sessions on Facebook to keep workers motivated and interact with them every day. Most of these measures were adopted by political parties last year even when the Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdown that followed made it difficult to hold meetings.
