Miss Universe 2020 contestants arrive in head-turning OOTDs: who are the stars?
The battle is on!
The Miss Universe 2020 pageant has officially started as contestants from all over the world arrive at the Seminole Hard Rock & Casino in Hollywood, Florida in stunning outfits.
In no particular order, here are some of the more notable OOTDs from candidate hotel arrivals.
The Filipino bet that Rabiya Mateo was a sight to see.
She looked like an angel wearing a fringed outfit made by designer Yeye Pantaleon, based in Quezon City. Rabiya completed her outfit with nude colored heels and accessories from Lvna by Drake Dustin.
Miss Cambodia Sarita Reth looked effortlessly gorgeous in her powder blue suit made just for her by the designer of Batangas City Paul Semira.
Miss South Africa Natasha Joubert made a grand entrance in a nude top and white pants from South African designer Natalia Jefferys.
Miss Peru Janick Maceta Del Castillo was a cute Barbie doll in her baby pink ensemble made by a Peruvian artist and fashion designer Ana Guiulfo.
Miss Panama Carmen Jaramillo received the warmest welcome upon arrival at the hotel. She was surprised by her followers all dressed in a traditional Panamanian dress called The Pollera.
Carmen herself looked “hermosa” in her bright yellow dress with tassels.
Miss Great Britain Jeanette Akua arrived on fire in patriotic colors. Jeanette went straight to the hotel wearing a blue blazer and shorts combo paired with a red, white and blue bralette top. In an Instagram post, Jeanette said her outfit was from Lookbook UK.
Miss Australia Maria Thattil wore an outfit inspired by Melbourne, her hometown. Her printed jacket, tube top and skirt were designed by Australian designer Jason Grench.
In an Instagram post, she wrote: “We have an incredible density of commercial art – but public art is a testament to the limitless creativity of our people, so much so that it is so prevalent in our streets. So the first day? I transport all of Melbourne to Miami. “
From the airport, Miss Indonesia Ayu Maulida Putriwent went directly to the Miss Universe 2020 registration desk.
The 23-year-old beauty queen kept it casual in her tie-front print blouse and black high-waisted pants.
Miss India Adline Castelino, who looked like she was already dressed for the opening number of the 2020 Miss Universe pageant, wore a dazzled dress by Indian designer Saisha Shinde.
Miss Thailand Amanda Obdam was a star on arrival in her scarlet-colored asymmetrical dress.
Miss Mexico Andrea Meza arrived in an eye-catching red silk top, paired with her fuschia blazer and skirt. Her outfit is from a Mexican brand called Patricia Boutique.
Miss Vietnam Nguyen Tran Khánh Vân looked like a rock star arriving at the hotel in the shape of a guitar wearing black and gold OOTD made by Vietnamese designers Do Manh Cuong and Quy Cao.
The big night of the coronation of the Miss Universe 2020 contest will take place on May 16, 2021 (May 17 in the Philippines).
