On Wednesday, the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries cleared the air on the report-writing rounds that His General Overseer, Pastor Lazarus Muoka supports a political party ahead of the 2023 general election.
The church’s public relations director, Pastor Louis Chidi, in a statement released to reporters, noted that neither the church nor its general overseer has made any statement in favor or against any political party.
Chidi described the people behind the social media post as haters.
The statement reads, “Our attention has been drawn to posts on certain social media platforms attributed to our General Overseer, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, which were intended to introduce him and the Church to the charismatic revival ministries chosen by the Lord, as politically inclined to sympathy for a particular political party and its aspirant.
“We wish to state unequivocally that neither our Bishop General nor the Church has ever made any political statement for or against any person or party, and have no reason to become involved in politics.
“We therefore wish to state categorically that such a publication or opinion does not come from our general overseer. Rather, it is the enemy who has done this (according to Matthew 13:24-30).
“The Lord’s elect hereby disassociates himself and the general overseer from these inappropriate and divisive statements. »
