Kogi Central CSOs hold roundtable for political candidates

Saturday, September 03 has been set for the second edition of the Kogi Central Political Party Candidates Roundtable on the theme: Constituency Reports and Peacebuilding.

The event, which is organized by the CSO network and the NGO network of Kogi Central, is in collaboration with civil society organizations in the area.

A statement signed by the coordinator, Mohammed Bougei Attah and the secretary, Hajia Bilqis Ozigi, said: “The objective of the event is to create a rallying point for representatives and voters to interface and share ideas. that will enhance the democracy dividend through good governance and community development”.

The event to be held at the Okene Transatlantic Center is comprised of a 10-member committee drawn from collaborating organizations including Ebira Peoples Association, EPA, Ebira Youth Congress, EYC, Association of Ebira Professionals, AEP and Ebira World. Broad, EWW. Others include, Ebira Resource Academy, ERA, Positive House of Friends, PHF and Kizeiza TV.

More than 40 candidates identified from the list of winners of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) resulting from the primaries of June 29 have been contacted.

Candidates targeted include those in the Senate, Federal House of Representatives, and State House of Representatives.

The round table should give each of the candidates the opportunity to present a brief on their manifesto to be transmitted to the people before the general elections of February 2023.
