Huntsville announces candidates for District 4 school boards
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Huntsville City Council has announced five candidates for the soon-to-vacant District 4 seat of the City of Huntsville School Board.
The nominees are Phillip Cagle, Heather Morris, Michelle Omenski, Michael Polemani and Ryan Renaud.
The five candidates for the seat will be interviewed by the board at public meetings on June 4 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. or June 7 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the conference room on the seventh floor. . from Huntsville Town Hall. For those unable to attend the meeting, the interviews will be recorded and posted on HuntsvilleAL.gov/HSVTV.
“We are fortunate to have five highly qualified candidates eager to serve our community and we look forward to finding the best fit for the job,” said Board Chair Jennie Robinson.
The vacancy on the board came after the resignation of Walter McGinnis, which will take effect on May 30. The person chosen as the replacement will occupy the seat until McGinnis’ term expires in November 2022.
