Athol Daily News – Athol Democrats elect officers and schedule caucus

ATHOL – During its virtual meeting in May, the democratic city of Athol committee elected four leaders for the year. Margot Parrot was elected President, Scott MacPhee was elected Vice-President, Max MacPhee was elected Secretary and Wanda Davis was re-elected Treasurer. Outgoing President Mitch Grosky and outgoing Secretary Christine Musante were both thanked for their dedicated service.
It has been decided that the next meeting of the Democratic City Committee will be held in person at 6:30 p.m. on June 21 at Silver Lake Park. The agenda will be the preparation of the next Athol Democratic Caucus and the election of an Affirmative Action and Diversity Officer.
The Athol Democratic Caucus, which is a gathering of Democrats registered and pre-registered in Athol to elect delegates to the Democratic State of Massachusetts convention, will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Liberty Hall (City Hall), Athol . The caucus will begin at 6:30 p.m. and registration will open at 6:00 p.m. Participants are urged to follow national and local guidelines regarding COVID-19 precautions. Everyone is welcome; however, only registered and pre-registered Democrats residing in Athol will be allowed to vote and stand as delegates or alternates.
Athol will elect three delegates and three alternates to attend the state convention, which will be held on September 25 at the Tsongas Center in Lowell.
