The former Governor of Kano State, Musa Kwankwasoconvened a new political movement, the National Movement (TNM), which will be officially launched today.
The launch of the political movement would take place at the Ladi Kwali Hall of the Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Abuja.
The development was revealed by a former People’s Democratic Party spokeswoman, Rufia Ahmed Alkali, who happens to be the movement’s national secretary.
Alkali in an invitation letter to the launch of the movement said it would be historic.
He said, “At the launch, the TNM will be officially introduced to the general public and the organizer of the movement will outline its aims and objectives and its main objective as well as to invite all patriotic Nigerians at home and abroad to join the TNM in the general interest to save our country and redirect it on the path of safety and security, peace and prosperity, equity and opportunity, in addition to qualitative and competent leadership that will bring about rapid development and sustainable while being fair and equitable for all.
Although some prominent Nigerians and politicians have not announced their affiliation with the movement, there is speculation that Pat Utomi and the former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega are in tune with Development.
This comes days after Kwankwaso said the PDP and APC had no nothing to offer Nigerians.
